Selection: triptych in Spanish Basque Country

CCC-Liv resumes the cycling season with three Basque races that follow each other in quick succession: Emakumeen Nafarroako Klasikoa (Thursday 23 July, 118 kilometres), Klasikoa Navarra (Friday 24 July, 121 kilometres) and Durango-Durango (Sunday 26 July, 113 kilometres). The selection of CCC-Liv for these three races consists of: Marta Jaskulska, Jeanne Korevaar, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, Pauliena Rooijakkers, Sabrina Stultiens and Marianne Vos.

“It has been uncertain for a long time, but it is great that we can really start racing again. Everyone at CCC-Liv will be extremely motivated. It's a short season, meaning that you only have a limited number of opportunities to show yourself. The sooner you are in the right pace, the better. We hope to immediately show in competition that we have a strong team”, says sports director Jeroen Blijlevens.

“These are three difficult races over hilly terrain. The Emakumeen Nafarroako Klasikoa is new to us, but we feel at home in the other two. Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio won the Klasikoa Navarra last year, Sabrina Stultiens was third in Durango-Durango in 2018 and Marianne Vos also won four times. In this Basque triptych, I especially look forward to Marta Jaskulska and Sabrina Stultiens. Marta is a blank page, but shows excellent values in training. The question is: can she achieve those in a race? Sabrina is finally making her "real" comeback at the highest level. She is eager and we wish her every success.”

COVID-19
In view of the situation regarding COVID-19, CCC-Liv implements all measures taken by the UCI, as well as some additional measures taken by the team. For example, since this spring, CCC-Liv has a medical monitoring tool for all riders and staff. The data can only be consulted by our team doctor and gives a good overall picture of the health profile of riders and staff.
