CCC-Liv at the starting line of Virtual Tour de France

Before CCC-Liv competes again on the road, the team is at the start of a virtual race. The team will participate in the Virtual Tour de France in the coming weeks which is planned in the weekends when the Tour de France and La Course would actually be held.

There is a ride via Zwift on both Saturday and Sunday. Each team starts with four riders. They score points on top of climbs, in sprints and at the finish. The points are added to the total of the team and determine which team leads in the various rankings. In addition to the general team classification (yellow jersey), there are three team rankings for ‘best sprinter’ (green jersey), ‘best climber’ (polka dot jersey) and ‘best youngster’ (white jersey). One of the riders from the team may wear the leader's jersey.

The last stage will be on Sunday 19 July when it will be clear which team has won the general classification.

Selection for each stage:

  • Saturday 4 July (Watopia, 36 kilometres - profile: hilly stage): Valerie Demey, Jeanne Korevaar, Soraya Paladin, Aurela Nerlo
  • Sunday 5 July (Watopia, 29 kilometres - profile: mountain stage): Sofia Bertizzolo, Marta Jaskulska, Pauliena Rooijakkers, Sabrina Stultiens
  • Saturday 11 July (France, 48 kilometres - profile: flat stage): not known yet
  • Sunday 12 July (France, 45 kilometres - profile: hilly stage): not known yet
  • Saturday 18 July (Ventoux/Chalet Reynard, 23 kilometres - profile: mountain stage): not known yet
