The Tour of Flanders on Sunday is the next highlight of the cycling season. CCC-Liv starts the classic with last year's number four, Sofia Bertizzolo. The selection further consists of Jeanne Korevaar, Evy Kuijpers, Soraya Paladin, Riejanne Markus and Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio.

“We did a recon of the Ronde van Vlaanderen last week. The second part has been slightly modified. There are narrow sections in between where we really have to sit in front and be alert. From the Kanarieberg, we follow the traditional final again. The real final is expected to explode on the Kruisberg. We hope we can play it tactically smart”, says sports director Jeroen Blijlevens.

Riejanne Markus added to the selection
Marianne Vos was initially also on the start list for the Ronde van Vlaanderen. However, she is not fit enough to start. Her health issues are not related to COVID-19. Riejanne Markus was called on Saturday morning by CCC-Liv as a replacement.
