While the men elite celebrate the 103rd edition of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the women’s peloton get to ride ‘La Doyenne’ for the very first time with 135.5 kilometers between Bastogne and Liège. WM3 Pro Cycling will race with Kasia Niewiadoma, Lauren Kitchen, Valentina Scandolara, Jeanne Korevaar, Moniek Tenniglo and Anouska Koster.
The starting point is in Bastogne. Even though the first official climb of the day, the Côte de la Vecquée, is well into the second half of the race, the first part is anything but easy; a hilly environment with roads constantly going up and down. After the Côte de la Vecquée, 45 kilometers from the finish, the route is identical to the men’s, which means that the riders will have to conquer the Côte de la Redoute (at 100 kilometers), the Roche-aux-Faucons (at 116 kilometers) and the Côte de Saint-Nicolas (at 130 kilometers). The finish is in Ans, in the shadow of the city of Liège.
