Also this season, there are some new classics on the programme, one of these high-profile newcomers is the Lotto Women Classic Bruges-De Panne (as part of the Driedaagse De Panne). WaowDeals Pro Cycling brings the following riders to the start of this Belgian one-day-race: Rotem Gafinovitz, Jeanne Korevaar, Monique van de Ree, Riejanne Markus, Pauliena Rooijakkers and Anouska Koster. 

The riders will cover well over 151 kilometres in this race, starting in Bruges and finishing in De Panne. A rather flat run-up is followed in and around the finish by 2 local laps (about 15 kilometres each). “On paper, it seems like a flat and easy course, but we will get wind force 4 along the coast, making this race quite an ordeal”, says sports director Jeroen Blijlevens.

Instant World Tour-level
A funny tidbit: Jeroen Blijlevens won 2 stages in the Driegdaagse De Panne in his professional career. At that time, the race consisted of 3 racing days. “It is great to see that this nice spring classic is now also part of the women circuit”, he says. The women race got immediately the status of UCI Women’s World Tour-race.
