The peloton will be presented with the Trofeo Alfredo Binda this coming Sunday, the third round in the UCI Women’s World Tour of the season. WaowDeals Pro Cycling takes these riders to Italy: Dani Rowe, Pauliena Rooijakkers, Anouska Koster, Riejanne Markus and Marianne Vos.
Our riders will race well over 131 kilometres in northern Italy. This race consists of a short run-up of 18 kilometres, a long loop with a climb and local lap of less than 18 kilometres which will be covered 4 times and which includes 2 short climbs expected to become more problematic towards the end.
“It is a rather difficult race for us, because it usually remains relatively closed. In the past few seasons, a somewhat larger group reached the finish line. The question is what we can accomplish in such a scenario. We will undergo the race, hoping to be in the final with as many riders as possible”, says sport director Jeroen Blijlevens.
In form
He knows that WaowDeals Pro Cycling is in a good place. “Marianne Vos was strong in Drenthe, but the Trofeo Alfredo Binda is clearly another kind of race. Dani Rowe has been showing her good form in this race during the past 2 years and also this time, she aims for a good result. I will not be surprised if any of the other riders also play a role in the final.”
