Kasia Niewiadoma did not get rewarded with a victory despite her relentless attacks and eagerness in the Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday afternoon. As last Sunday in the Amstel Gold Race, our Polish rider had to be satisfied with a third place. Anna van der Breggen won the race.
Kasia rode an impressive race and attacked on the Côte de Cherave, at around 6 kilometers from the finish line. She got company from two Boels-Dolmans riders and this trio challenged the final climb of the day, the Mur de Huy, together. “Having two competitors from the same team, put Kasia in a difficult position”, says DS Jeroen Blijlevens from WM3 Pro Cycling.
The last of the three Ardennes classics, Luik-Bastenaken-Luik, takes place this coming Sunday, with another opportunity for victory for WM3 Pro Cycling. Luik-Bastenaken-Luik is the first edition for the women’s peloton.
