WaowDeals Pro Cycling has an additional talent: Inge van der Heijden (18), Dutch champion cyclo-cross (U23), rides as of 1 March in the distinctive green of our team. She was presented on Thursday evening in Merksplas (Flanders) during the team presentation. The rider from Brabant is an example of the vision and direction WaowDeals Pro Cycling is taking: “develop and win” is the team’s motto.
“I have had nice successes with ZZPR.nl-HanClean-Orange Babies which I will not easily forget. However, this step will enable me to develop to the level I want to reach. One day, I want to compete with the best in the world. If you look at the great riders and world champions my new team has produced, then I am convinced that I have a made the right choice with WaowDeals Pro Cycling”, says Inge.
WaowDeals Pro Cycling supports the upcoming rider from Brabant in her ambition to further develop as a cyclo-crosser. In agreement with her new team coach and management, an attractive road programme was put forward. “This should ensure that I will be even more improved next winter”, says Inge who stood out this season with a Dutch title and an outstanding performance in the elite women race in Diegem.
Preparing new champions
Inge’s arrival perfectly fits in WaowDeals Pro Cycling’s policy. “We want to prepare the champions of tomorrow and be successful. Not only on the road, but certainly in cyclo-cross which has been one of our strengths in the past and which we want to further develop”, says team manager Eric van den Boom. “We remain a road team, but want to focus more on cross.”
