Jeanne takes the young rider classification in the Herald Sun Tour

The Australian 4-parter is done. And not without success. Jeanne Korevaar secured in the 2nd and final stage of the Herald Sun Tour the youth rider classification on Wednesday. In the closing time trial (1.6 kilometre), she was 9 seconds faster than Grace Anderson from New-Zealand who was the only one who could still challenge the jersey.

The very short time trial was nearly flat which was perfectly suited for Anouska Koster. Our Friesian clocked off at a sharp time: 2 minutes and 13 seconds, resulting in the 6th place of the day (4 seconds after stage winner Annemiek van Vleuten).

Anouska also took the 6th place in the general classification of the Australian 2-stage-race. WaowDeals Pro Cycling’s Sabrina Stultiens, Riejanne Markus and Jeanne Korevaar all finished in the top 20 of the GC. The overall victory was for Brodie Chapman.

Spring season
Jeroen Blijlevens’ team returns to Europe after 4 Australian races and a training camp. “We have significantly progressed during these weeks”, he says. There will be another training camp in February, this time in Spain, prior to starting the spring season with the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (24 February).
