Marianne Vos will not get into any cyclo-cross action in the coming two weeks, this in agreement with WaowDeals Pro Cycling’s team doctor.
Marianne is facing the consequences of a cold caught in December, longer than expected. The cold bothered her again during the GP Sven Nys. It is crucial to recover first in order to get fit for competition.
Marianne was supposed to ride the cyclo-cross in Louvain on Sunday and next week in Surhuisterveen (Dutch championship). Unfortunately, she now has to call these off.
“We assess how Marianne’s health develops on which basis we will decide how to continue and which course to follow in light of the cyclo-cross world championship”, says team manager Eric van den Boom.
