WaowDeals Pro Cycling had its first appearance. The team showed its new kit for the very first time in Antwerp in the Scheldecross. Marianne Vos, our Dutch cyclo-cross champion, took 8th place in her first cyclocross race of the season.

Marianne was pleased with the race. "I had a strong start and dove as 2nd into the field." She fought a tough battle, for instance with Sanne Cant who would later win the race. "That cost some strength and I consequently had to force myself too much."

After a couple of laps in which she had to give in some places to the competition, Marianne could bounce back. "I got my pace back in the final lap and could recover. I want to take the good feeling of the final lap to the next races." Marianne will race in Sint-Niklaas next week.
