The Lotto Belgium Tour started well for WM3 Pro Cycling. Marianne Vos took 2nd place in the prologue in Nieuwpoort after Jolien D’Hoore. Also Anouska Koster clocked off with a sharp time during the opening of the 4-day-stage race.
The riders got a route of just under 4 kilometres presented. Coryn Rivera had for a long time the fastest time, until Jolien D’Hoore and Marianne Vos, having started as penultimate and last, crossed the finish line. “Marianne is less than a second short for the victory. It is similar to the Ladies Tour of Norway”, says DS Jeroen Blijlevens.
He also observed a good start for Anouska Koster and the other WM3-riders in the Lotto Belgium Tour, even though the numbers one and two stood considerably above the rest. “We will have to see how this race further develops. The goal is to get as far as possible with one of the riders. We have several irons in the fire”. The programme foresees a stage in line on Wednesday (114 kilometres).
