The WM3 Pro Cycling riders have completed decent time trials on Thursday noon in stage 2 of the Boels Rental Ladies Tour. Anouska Koster led the green/black formation in the ranking with 1 minute and 20 seconds to the day winner Annemiek van Vleuten. Kasia Niewiadoma needed an additional 2 seconds in her race against the clock.

DS Jeroen Blijlevens was realistic after the stage. “We knew beforehand that we would not clock off the fastest times. We could only hope to keep the time gaps with the time trial specialists within limits. Our riders performed well on this beautiful flat time trial route”, according to Blijlevens.

Winning a stage
In the remaining 3 stages, Jeroen Blijlevens hopes that his team can add colour to the Boels Rental Ladies Tour. “We would like to win a stage”, says Blijlevens. “Our riders are in form. However, we will also need to take the weather into account – what will the wind do? – and what kind of plans do other teams have in store.”

Annemiek van Vleuten expanded her lead in the general classification with her 2nd day victory.  Anouska Koster and Kasia Niewiadoma have the best ranking among the WM3 Pro Cycling team.
