Marianne Vos finished fourth on Saturday in the Prudential RideLondon Classique. The race ended in a mass sprint on The Mall in which Coryn Rivera was the fastest. Lotto Lepistö took the 2nd place and Lisa Brennauer 3rd.
The race, part of the WorldTour, was competed in the rainy centre of the English capital, consisting of 12 laps of 5.5 kilometres each. Beforehand, a bunch sprint was taken into consideration which eventually also happened.
“We have done everything we could, but it was not enough”, says DS Eric van den Boom. “It was a hard-fought sprint. Marianne was initially not ideally positioned. She had to come from too far.”
