The Boels Ladies Tour (Tuesday 3 to Sunday 8 September) is the most important Dutch stage race for women. CCC-Liv starts in this UCI Women WorldTour competition with the following six riders: Valerie Demey, Agnieszka Skalniak, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, Marta Lach, Riejanne Markus and Jeanne Korevaar.
“The race starts with a rather distinct prologue of 3.8 kilometres, held at the Tom Dumoulin Bike Park in Sittard. The course contains a lot of sharp bends, making it difficult to push on the peddles. The most technical riders will surface. Although the prologue is short, it will still be important in the battle for the general classification. In the five stages that follow, we often go over flat terrain. With CCC-Liv we are aiming for a good general classification, we don't have a real sprinter in the selection. We need to look for a way to make a difference somewhere. Fortunately we have a team which is in good shape. Five of the six riders were also active in the perfectly run Ladies Tour of Norway.”
