CCC-Liv moves to the province of Drenthe (the Netherlands) for two one-day races. The first being the Drentse 8 van Westerveld (145 kilometres), consisting of two climbs of the VAMberg and two local laps in Dwingeloo. CCC-Liv starts Friday with Pauliena Rooijakkers, Evy Kuijpers, Valerie Demey and Marta Lach.

“We have a busy programme, but we have reserved a place on the calendar for this beautiful Drenthe classic”, says sports director Jeroen Blijlevens. “For Marta Lach, Valerie Demey and Evy Kuijpers it is useful to race, after a weekend without competition. In addition, the Drentse 8 van Westerveld is a race that suits a type of rider such as Evy.”

Jeroen Blijlevens expects a tough race. “We start with four riders, so it will be difficult to make a fist as a team. In addition, we expect heavy conditions with wind force 5. It is up to our riders to be alert when the crucial part of the race starts. We just might begin the weekend in Drenthe in a beautiful way.”
