Dani Rowe announced today that she will retire from her cycling career with immediate effect. She decided this for personal reasons which she further explains in a statement.
“In the past season, we got to know Dani as a highly professional and driven rider who was determined to make the step to the absolute top in road cycling. We have experienced wonderful moments together in the short but pleasant cooperation. Especially the OVO Energy's Women's Tour, in her own Great Britain, will be engraved in our minds”, says team manager Eric van den Boom.
“As stated before, there was a place in our team for Dani in 2019. We spoke to her and understand her choice to change the beacons and to set new career goals from today on. All riders and staff members sincerely wish her every success.”
CCC-Liv, as our team is called next season, starts 2019 with eleven riders. There will be no replacement for Dani.
